SOMEWHERE DEEP IN THE MOUNTAIN TREES LAID AWAITING OUR ARRIVAL

It all started in Morocco, the mysteries of its land, made it a destination for many great minds. But to us, it meant childhood memories. Wandering through the Anti-Atlas mountains and harvesting argan nuts with our family. Experiencing this primal pureness made a deep impression on us at an early age. Next to the Anti-Atlas region we sourced from the Sous Valley of Morocco and the Nagpur region of India to create our first three botanical face oils.

COMPENDIUM consists of people instead of production lines. Many of our ingredients are harvested by hand and manually composed, bottled and packed in our in-house studio in the Netherlands. 

We’ve spent five years finding the perfect ingredients, formulas and learning every single detail behind developing natural skincare. The scarcity of our ingredients create a deeply rooted respect for time and processes. Creating from nature isn’t about fighting the elements, it’s about embracing them.

Renowned botanist Barnabé Fillion was asked to collaborate on composing the fragrance and together we set a simple yet ambitious goal: to use the highest quality, natural botanicals that not only complement each oil in their working ingredients but also add olfactive expressions to their origins.

For each of the three oils we used a delicate selection of botanicals that are sourced from around the world. All of our oils are cold-pressed in order to maximize potency.

We are dedicated to building a range of an ever-evolving unisex collection of origins. Sourcing from different territories across the world, COMPENDIUM crosses borders. Not only in the experience of beauty rituals but also in translating age-old traditions into modern expressions.
